The algorithm will never suggest a hidden gem because a true "hidden gem" is exactly that: hidden. It is devoid of "metrics" and "stats" and "streams." How could the algorithm suggest it when it hasn't been "liked" by enough people to "prove" its "value"? The algorithm doesn't know what a good song sounds like, what a good movie feels like, what a good book tastes like.
